The terms that apply when you use ScholarMuse
2026/10/12
ScholarMuse (scholarmuse.ai) is operated by TopLocalAI, LLC ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you use the ScholarMuse website, the connection for AI agents and the REST API (together, the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
ScholarMuse gives the AI agent you use access to academic tools: searching papers, checking references, looking up research data from third-party sources, and generating scientific figures. The service is in preview. Tools and data sources may be added, changed or removed.
You agree not to:
We may limit or suspend access if these rules are broken or if use of an account puts the service or a data source at risk.
Figures are generated by an AI model from your description. They can contain scientific, visual or spelling errors.
The service provides information for research. It is not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Do not use it to make decisions about the care of a patient.
The ScholarMuse website, software and brand belong to TopLocalAI, LLC. These terms do not give you any rights to them, other than the right to use the service as described here.
We try to keep the service available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change or stop parts of the service. If we stop the service altogether, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, TopLocalAI, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profit or reputation, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply after your account is closed, such as those on third-party data, disclaimers and liability, continue to apply.
We may update these terms. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email or in the product. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
